John Michael Nchekwube Obinna (John Obi Mikel) is a famous football player, midfielder of Tianjin Teda, China and the former captain of Super Eagles, Nigerian national football team.

Mikel was born in Jos, Nigeria on the 22nd of April, 1987 to the family of Michael and Irosu Obi.

Obi began playing football when he was fifteen. Mikel took part in FIFA under seventeen world championship in Finland. He brilliantly played in the youth world championship FIFA.
