A man has landed in the custody of the Ebonyi State Police Command for allegedly killing his 20-year-old brother, Ebubechi Orogwu.

Reports gathered that the suspect, Chinwekpe Orogwu, killed Ebubechi because he ate his goat intestines meal.

The incident happened on 15 May 2020 at Amauda Nzashi Ndufu Echara in Ikwo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.

It was gathered that the said goat was killed in their compound and when the meat was shared, the intestines were given to Chinwekpe and his brother.

It was gathered that the duo were enjoying the already cooked goat intestines when Chinwekpe accused Ebubechi of eating his own portion of the innards. In the ensuing argument, Chinwkpe was said to have picked a wooden object and hit his brother’s head with it.

“The suspect claimed that the victim reportedly ate more intestine. The victim was rushed to the Federal Teaching Hospital, Abakaliki, for treatment, but he was confirmed dead and his body was deposited at the Ikwo General Hospital while the suspect has been arrested.

“The matter is under investigation, and we can’t believe that it was because of goat intestine that someone killed his own brother,” Odah stressed.
