Eke Awka Closure: Maintain Covid-19 Protocols, Nonso Okafor Urges Traders In Nnewi

The Lawmaker representing Nnewi North Constituency in Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon. Nonso Smart Okafor, has urged both traders in Nnewi to abide by all Covid-19 Protocols as stipulated by the State government.

This advice is coming following the decision of Anambra State government to close Eke Awka Market, with effect from Monday, 15th June, 2020.

The Lawmaker through a statement, today, Thursday, 11th June, 2020, advised both traders and customers in the business town to restrain from acts culpable of attracting government sledgehammer in markets in Nnewi.

According to him, to avoid the closure of any market in Nnewi, both traders and customers must wear protective face masks, observe physical distancing and market leaders should make provision of running water and soap for washing of hands in their respective markets.

While encouraging all Nnewi residents to continue to obey all measures to stop the spread of the novel Coronavirus, Hon. Smart Okafor, urged all the task force stationed in different markets and other public places to enforce all Covid-19 directive as ordered by the state government.
