Zoro Swagbag: Age and early life

Zoro Swagbag was born Owoh Chimaobi Chrismathner in Onitsha Anambra State on March 20th, 1990. However, the rapper and singer is a native of Awgu Enugu State, South East of Nigeria. Zoro didn’t start his musical journey quite early but he knew the show business was made for him.

Music

Zoro’s music is all his own. He has a unique sound that is catchy and danceable. In 2012, after releasing many singles which didn’t get much attention as he wanted, his time finally arrived when he dropped the song “Ogene” featuring high life singer Flavour (Chinedu Okoli). The song dominated music charts and was a constant play on airwaves. He recorded the remix of the song featuring Ycee, Lil Kesh and Phyno. The video of the song was shot in Enugu.

Zoro Swagbag also recorded Achikolo which he featured Phyno. He has tracks like “Landlord”, Owu Sa gi, 042 (Enugu State of Mind) Otu (Onitsha State of Mind) and other. He has worked with other stars like Chidinma Ekile (Ms Kedike), Falz, Simi, etc.

Zoro Swagbag has been nominated for various industry awards. He won the best Indigenous concept in a visual at the Nigerian Music Video Awards in 2016. He has been nominated for Revelation Awards at the All Africa Music Video Award. Zoro is not just a rapper with a touch of the Igbo culture, he is also a brand ambassador of Hero Lager Beer. His net worth around 700 thousand dollars as of 2019 and we believe that it is more than this figure in 2020.
