President Muhammadu Buhari has directed the Anambra Oil Mogul, Prince Arthur Eze, to desist from fighting his home state government led by Chief Willie Obiano. He said Obiano was doing a good job in his state, including supporting the federal government in key projects.

 

Ebonyi Governor David Umahi has stated only God will determine his successor in 2023. He vowed that influences from outside the state will have no say in his successor. He warned political gladiators in the state to stop overheating the polity, adding it is too early to play politics of succession.

Five persons on Sunday sustained varying degrees of injury, while nine others escaped unhurt in an accident along Nteje-Awka expressway, Anambra state. The accident which occurred around 3pm involved a Volkswagen Golf and a Mercedes Benz Stania (Luxury Bus). Confirming the incident, Sector Public Education Officer, Federal Road Safety Corps, Pascal Anigbo said the victims were taken to Chira Hospital Awkuzu by the FRSC rescue team from Nteje Unit Command.
