A US couple have taken an adventurous stance by wedding on top 12 ft-high mountain without a pastor.

An adventurous couple identified as Monifa and Wyatt have fulfilled their dreams by getting married on a mountain 12ft above sea level.

The bride, Dr Monifa, took to social media as she revealed that the decision was taken due to the coronavirus pandemic.

She disclosed that they had to wake up early and embark on their mountain climb at around 4am amid a 30 degree weather.

They wedding which took place in Colorado, USA saw them wed themselves without a pastor, guests, family or witnesses.

According to Dr Monifa, the law in Colorado permits couples to marry each other without a minister or officiant.

Dr Monifa wrote; “oh hey don’t mind me it’s me & my hubs on our wedding day on a mountain 12,000 ft above sea level eloping & what not in a pandemic & yes we hiked this mountain at 4am in 30 degree weather in our wedding gear & married our damn selves.

A couple has gotten married in a very private and simple ceremony, wearing nothing but casual wears at Evangelical Church Winning All, (ECWA) church, Kaltungo, Gombe State.

Due to the Coronavirus lock-down, couples from different parts of the world have been settling for online weddings and very private weddings with just a few persons in attendance.

A few weeks ago, Lagos had its first online wedding as a Nigerian couple, Yinka and Demola got married via Zoom.

For this wedding, the groom rocked a white t-shirt and a pair of black trousers while the bride wore a bubu dress and a black scarf.

To pastors and two other family members were present.
