I agree that people who hold public office should be people of character that cannot worship money. Beyond that, they should be people with some level of decency and decorum. It is wrong for any Igwe of a community to go and be talking from all sides of his mouth in the home of a billionaire or anyone, for whatever reason. It is wrong and irresponsible.
So many wrong things have been internalized in our society and that is why people are behaving anyhow. No decorum, no self-respect, no decency. We must learn to carry ourselves with some level of self-respect and stop being beggarly. People will go to occasions and be fighting over gala. They go to rich men and destroy their humanity begging without any iota of shame. Are we mad? We must stop.
Even if Prince Arthur Eze and Governor Obiano are in absolute good terms, I would still like to see the governor take punitive measures against such rascality and disrespect of the Igwe’s office by the individuals concerned.
