Spurs were already two goals up when Son struck the third in an emphatic 5-0 victory.
Son clinched the prize ahead of the likes of Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne and Manchester United midfielder, Bruno Fernandes.
Other names up for the award were Newcastle’s Matty Longstaff for his winner against Man Utd, an acrobatic overhead kick from Brighton’s Alireza Jahanbakhsh.
