Nigerian singer, Azeez Adeshina Fashola, professionally known as Naira Marley, is loved by a lot of music lovers in Nigeria and his powerful fan base known as the Marlians, is clear proof.

He recently took to social media to express his desire to reach out to the less privileged. “I’m gonna do my best to help everybody that needs help around me in my own little way. So help me God,” he tweeted.

This is not the first time he is expressing his desire to help people in need. A month ago, he took to social media to announce his plans of giving back to the less privileged in the society.

At a time when financial crises in the society have worsened due to the pandemic, the controversial singer has decided to come up with a brilliant idea of opening a soup kitchen.

In a recent tweet, the Soapy crooner revealed his intentions of opening a non-profit place where less privileged people can come to eat and also get help with other things they may need.

Meanwhile, a few days ago, Anaedoonline.ng reported that the Lagos State Special Offences (Mobile) Court, Oshodi fined the singer and his manager.

Recall a month ago, social media was buzzing with mixed reactions over Naira Marley’s concert in Abuja despite the social distancing order occasioned by the coronavirus pandemic.

In a recent report by Sahara Reporters, the singer was arrested and detained by the Lagos police and subsequently appeared before the Moblie Court where he pleaded guilty to violating the ban.

The singer was arraigned alongside his manager, Seyi Awouga, and were awarded a fine of N100,000 each by the presiding magistrate.
