Haruna Ya’u, popularly known as Dangaru who killed his friend, Sani Ibrahim, Following a dispute over N500, has been arrested by the police state command in Kano state.
The unfortunate incident happened on Monday, August 16 at Dan Tsinke Quarters of Tarauni Local Government Area.
Haruna who is friends with the deceased, according to his family, had come on a scene of a dispute between their friend with Ibrahim. The deceased had given one of their friends, Aminu Ahmad N500, and asked him to help him buy something, but Aminu had used the money for his own needs which sparked the disagreement that Haruna walked into. The accused took sides with Aminu, leading to a fight and in the process, Haruna picked a pair of scissors and stabbed Ibrahim
Ibrahim was pronounced dead at the Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital, Kano, where he was rushed to immediately following the fight.

The deceased was based in Port Harcourt, where he sold iron scraps and was waiting for his mother’s permission before he traveled back, this was revealed by Zainab Is’maila, Ibrahim’s mother. She lamented that justice must prevail as he was the only one taking care of the family which includes her and his sisters.
The spokesperson of the state police command, DSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, speaking on the incident said the alleged is in custody and would be facing the court once the necessary investigations on the case have been completed.
