Okigwe Election – Gov. Uzodinma Declares He Is Neutral

Contrary to insinuations that governor Hope Uzodimma might impose a candidate of his choice on Okigwe North in the forthcoming Senatorial election, the governor has disclosed his neutrality in the game.

The governor who stated this when past government functionaries of Okorocha’s administration visited him at the government house, Owerri. He declared his readiness to organize party congress and conduct primaries had it been that there was no acceptable consensus candidate chosen by the APC membership from the zone.

The governor recalled that he has advised Okigwe stakeholders to go for a candidate that will have the support of the party, and promised that he cannot impose any candidate on the zone.

He emphasized the importance of building a consolidated and united APC party in the state, noting, that leadership should be by example.
