kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has said that the Kwara State sports Complex, Ilorin would be named after late football icon, Rashidi Yekini.
The governor made this known during his visit to the Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare in Abuja.
The meeting which yielded fruitful deliberations as both sports lovers discussed prospects in youth and sports development.
The Governor announced that the bill to name the stadium after the former African Footballer of the Year would be sent to the State House of Assembly for approval.
“We will send a bill to the State House of Assembly to immortalize Rashidi Yekini with the name of the stadium changing after the approval.”
