Chicason Elected As President Nigerian-Brazilian Chamber Of Commerce

The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Chicason Group of Companies, Chief Sir Dr. Alex Chika Okafor (OON) have been elected as the new President of the Nigerian-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Anaedoonline.ng can confirm that the election which held yesterday, September 16th, 2020, will see the Chicason Boss, replace the outgoing President Emmanuel Ibru, who is also the Chairman of Plantation Owners Forum of Nigeria (POFON).

Chief Sir Dr. Alex Chika Okafor (Akuatuegwu Nnewi) is expected to consolidate on the chamber’s drive in encouraging and promoting trade and knowledge transfer between Nigerians and Brazilians.

The trade relationship between Nigeria and Brazil dates back to the 18th century.

Nigeria is the second largest trade partner of Brazil in Sub-Saharan Africa and 11th in the world. Brazil is the third-largest importer of Nigerian crude oil after the United State of America (USA) and India. While Brazil is a leading political and economic power in Latin America, Nigeria is equally the leading political and economic power in West Africa.
