According to reports, there are clear indications that Imo State will produce the next President General of Ohaneze Ndigbo. This is in accordance with the Constitution of Ohaneze Ndigbo

The election to replace the present President of the pan Igbo organization, John Nnia Nwodo, is expected to hold in January 2021.

It is unclear how many aspirants from Imo State are interested in the contest though barely four months to the election; no one from the State has openly declared his or her intention.

However, it is expected that the election will generate interests from various quarters within and outside Igboland at a period when the Igbo nation are at cross roads of their political destiny as the 2023 Presidential elections draws close.
