A High Court of the Federal Capital Territory sitting in Maitama, Abuja has awarded N50 million damages against the Senator representing Adamawa North, Senator Elisha Abbo, to be paid as compensation to Osimibibra Warmate, a female attendant at a sex-toy shop, whom he assaulted. The rumor became strong following the crash of his marriage to former beauty queen, Precious Chikwendu. However, Fani-Kayode in a post via his Twitter account on Monday afternoon, said the reports of him remarrying are false and misleading.

 

The National Assembly is currently meeting with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) over the Petroleum Industry Bill. Anaedoonine.ng learned that the meeting is to discuss the essence and focus of the PIB sent to the National Assembly. Lawan said President Muhammadu Buhari’s letter containing the PIB will be read on the floor of both chambers when the National Assembly resumes plenary session tomorrow.

The 36 states of the Federation on Monday took the Federal Government to the Supreme Court, challenging the presidential executive order signed in May by President Muhammadu Buhari. The states are seeking an order of the Supreme Court to quash President Buhari’s executive order on the funding of courts, which he signed on May 20.

While Igwe Lawrence Nwafia was recognised as the traditional ruler of Ezi-Agulu-Otu Aguleri, Igwe Johnson Mbanefo was recognised as the traditional ruler of Mkpunando Aguleri.
