More than eight months after he was sacked from the House of Representatives by the appeal court in 2019, Hon. Ifeanyichukwu Ibezi still parades himself as a member of the National Assembly.
Recall that Hon. Ifeanyichukwu Ibezi lost the seat for Idemili north and south federal constituency of Anambra state in October 2019 after the appeal court in a unanimous judgement declared Hon. Obinna Chidoka as duly elected and the true winner of the February 23rd 2019 National Assembly election.
Almost a year after his sack, it is surprising that Hon. Ifeanyichukwu Ibezi who is no longer a member of the 9th Assembly fraudulently obtained a plate number HMHR-160 while posing as a serving member of the House allegedly in his former colleague’s office. He still carries about the National Assembly identity card and other NASS properties in his possession.
This impersonation and fraudulent act of Hon. Ibezi was unveiled when the transport unit of the House of Representatives contacted Hon. Obinna Chidoka requesting him to surrender the House of Representatives official Vehicles plate numbers in his possession because according to the information made available to it by Hon. Ifeanyichukwu Ibezi, he (Hon. Obinna Chidoka) was the one sacked by the court.
It is important to note that Mr. Ibezi had in the past applied for and obtained financial benefits due to the true elected representative of Idemili North and South Federal constituency Hon. Obinna Chidoka.
This impersonation and fraudulent representation of the Idemili North and South Federal constituency is the height of irresponsibility and misrepresentation which must be investigated by the relevant authorities and prosecute the impersonator.
