Although Kevin De Bruyne’s current deal with Manchester City will expire in the next three years, but the club’s chiefs want the Belgian to commit his future to the side.
De Bruyne has already spent five years of his football career in Manchester and has stated that both himself and his family are happy in England.
He did admit that if Manchester City’s two year UEFA ban had stood then he might have had to consider his future at the Etihad stadium.
But the Court of Arbitration for Sports has cleared Manchester City and the Citizens will continue to play in the Champions League.
According to the report on UK Sun, Manchester City chiefs have had a progress in their efforts for De Bruyne to sign a new deal.
Manchester City have not done well this term in the Premier League as they have only garnered four points from their first three games played.
