Anambra: CHAPOL Decorates Bishop Tony Okeke As Patron

The Anambra State Command of Chaplain Corps Policing Explorers (CHAPOL) has decorated the Bishop of Save The Lost Mission International, Rt. Rev. Tony E. Okeke as one of the patrons of the organization in the state.

The ceremony which held yesterday, Sunday, 11th October, 2020, at the Church Auditorium of Save the Lost Mission, Nnewi, had the presence of officers of Chaplain Corps Policing Explorers (CHAPOL), Anambra State Command.

Speaking during the ceremony, the Anambra State Commandant of CHAPOL, Commandant Joseph N. Ekwunife (CCC), MINT, said that the ceremony was to decorate Bishop Tony Okeke as a patron of the organization, in appreciation of his fifty (50) years of dedicated and committed service in the kingdom of God and also his acts of selfless service to humanity which the command has been of the beneficiaries.

According to the Commandant, Bishop Tony E. Okeke tremendous support for Chapol has seen to the enrollment of over twenty (20) pastors and members of Save The Lost Mission, to be trained as officers of Chapol, making them to have the highest single enrollment.

Emphasizing on the need for more support for Chapol, Mr. Joseph Ekwunife, said that as an organization made up of Christian professionals, CHAPOL is doing everything possible to reinvent the lost value system, through their crusade of moral rebirth in schools in Anambra State.

“The Command has Championed the crusade of moral rebirth in our schools through the teaching of practical moral values to the students which centers on character reformation and mentorship”

Mr. Joseph Ekwunife also noted that as part of the command’s efforts towards exploring all useful avenue in combating the menace, the command introduced a storybook on moral values titled “OUT OF The CROWD” revealing that through the support of the organization’s patrons and partners, the book was not only approved by the State Ministry of Education, but over N3,000,000.00 worth of the books have been donated freely to students between 2019 and 2020.

He called for the more support from both the government and private individuals in other to combat all forms of immoral behaviours among youths such as cultism, examination malpractice, theft, drug abuse, homosexualism, lesbianism, kidnapping, rape, thuggery prostitution, cybercrime, arson, and others social vices.

Speaking to Anaedonline.ng after the ceremony, the elated Bishop Tony Okeke who spoke briefly to our correspondent, said that he will continue support CHAPOL in their drive to touch the lives of youths in Anambra State.
