The Senate has confirmed the nomination of Dr Chukwuemeka Chukwu as Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) representing Abia State Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). According to the Senate in a statement signed by Ezrel Tabiowo, Special Assistant (Press) to President of the Senate, the confirmation of the nominee followed consideration of a report during plenary on the screening exercise conducted by the Senate Committee on INEC.
