Frank Lampard who is the manager of Premier League side Chelsea has confirmed that new goalkeeper Edouard Mendy will not be available for the coming match with Southampton.

The Senegalese goalkeeper got injured while on international duty and was sent back to Stamford Bridge for assessment on the injury he sustained.

Kepa Arrizabalaga’s unimpressive performances in the Premier League made Chelsea chiefs to go for the signing of Mendy and has been impressive since he joined the Blues.

Lampard has now explained that the African goalkeeper is not yet fit and will miss the next Premier League game. This means that Kepa Arrizabalaga or Willy Caballero will be behind the sticks for the Stamford Bridge landlords.
