Marriage proposals have really morphed over the years, from simple dinner dates to public stunts, we never known where the next trend would pop.
In Nigeria, we have seen men go from faking their own arrest to a fake public fight, all in a bid to get their partners full attention – or the publics – before popping the question.
Views have been polarized in recent times, on if the trend of public stunts for marriage proposal is right, and we have seen numerous women turn down the request in public, further leading to more scenes.
A young corps member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) decided to pop the question on he and his partners Passing Out Parade (POP).
The young man who was sighted in the viral video, didn’t simply go on his knees within the premises of the scheme, or ask for her hand in marriage during a POP photoshoot.
He decided to first create a scene by acting like he was gassing out, which led to his partner panicking.
As she panicked and called for help, those in the vicinity deemed it fit to record the very moment – perhaps they were in the know of the incoming proposal.

At last, she was able to revive him – or so it seemed to her – and he instantly popped the question (he was already on his knees, already an awkward posture for someone out of breath).
