Eden Hazard was the man of the match as he grabbed his first goal of the season in Real Madrid’s convincing 4-1 win against Huesca on Saturday, October 31.

The Belgian who has endured a nightmare since joining Real Madrid from Chelsea last summer opened the scoring for Real Madrid five minutes before half time.

He received the ball and nicely turned away from Nigerian midfielder Kelechi Nwakali before releasing a rocket with his left foot from long range. That was the 29-year-old first goal for Los Blancos in 392 days.

Soon after it was 2-0 as Benzema chested down a Casemiro cross brilliant before producing a smart finish in the 45th minute. That was how the first half ended 2-0 in favour of Los Blancos.

At the start of the second half, Real Madrid continued from where they stopped and soon after they made it 3-0.

A nice interchange of passes saw Hazard release Benzema who found Valverde at the back post and the Uruguayan volleyed the ball in to make it 3-0 for Real Madrid.

David Ferreiro pulled one back for Huesca in the 74th minute but it will turn out to be just a consolation goal as Benzema got his brace in the 90th minute after an assist from Rodrygo. It ended 4-1 as the victory takes Zinedine Zidane’s men to the top of La Liga on 16 points.
