Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode has slammed southern leaders after the Northern leaders backed the social media bill.

The support for the bill which will enable the regulation of social media in Nigeria came in the wake of the violence that followed the EndSARS protests in the country.

The north made its stance known after a meeting which was attended by the governors, traditional leaders and key stakeholders in the region.

Reacting to their stance which has generated criticism on social media, Femi Fani-Kayode tweeted:

“U complain about Northern leaders coming together &saying #EndSARS is about regime change &backing the #socialmedia Bill yet ur own southern leaders dare not come together as one to speak out &counter them. The north is not to blame for Southern servitude& cowardice, the South is.”
