Jean-Clair Todibo, Ivan Rakitic as well as Ousmane Demebele were all offered to PSG by Barcelona last summer with the club adding the huge amount, but the deal still failed.
Former Barcelona director Javier Bordas has emerged with the details of why such a mouthwatering deal failed as he told Spanish outlet Cadena Cope, as cited in SunSport.
We offered PSG £98m plus Todibo, Rakitic and the loan of Dembele. PSG wanted £116.5m plus Todibo, Rakitic and Dembele on loan.
“Neymar was £18.5million away from coming back. “Neymar’s father said that he would make up the difference but in the end that didn’t happen.”

A number of reports at the time discussed Todibo, Rakitic and Dembele as part of the deal, with varying cash offers said to be tagged onto the deal.
Dembele who was also targeted by Premier League club Manchester United could not see such deal go over the line until the summer transfer window closed.
The 23-year-old Frenchman appeared to have agreed to personal terms with the Red Devils having fallen down the pecking order at the Nou Camp.
He has made just one appearance under Ronald Koeman so far this campaign after coming on as a substitute for Ansu Fati in the 70th minute.
