Memphis Depay has taken a swipe at the Glazer owners of man United in his new rap song and the Red devils fans have, The Sun reports The Netherlands international recently released a rap single called ‘Big Fish’ and made mention of the American owners of United.

The Lyon forward began the lyric: “I be planning to make some statements, I need money like the Glazers.”

However, the 26-year-old claimed he was not referring to the Glazers but the track still got Old Trafford faithful believing it was a dig at their owners.

One fan said: “He’s making a jab at the Glazers, our owners. Not Man United.” Another added: “He is literally just taking shots the Glazers didn’t even say anything about Man Utd.”

A third commented: “Yes Memphis lad once a red always a red. Glazers we are coming.” But Depay responded: “That’s no shot! that’s ambition… TF at least mine ambition.”

Depay flopped during his days at United following his £25million move from PSV in 2015, managing just two goals from 33 Premier League appearances.

He joined Ligue 1 side Lyon in 2017 and has made an impression with the French club which caught the attention of Barcelona last summer.

Depay who started pursuing a music career three years ago narrowly missed out of joining Ronald Koeman’s men.
