Nnewi: FUNMDA Holds End Of The Year Prayer Session, Awards Dedicated Members

As the year 2020 ends, people in all walks of life are counting their blessings and thanking God for the gift of life despite the whole turmoil from the Covid-19 pandemic to the #EndSARS protest that shut the country and was later hijacked by hoodlums.

To this end, the Fairly Used and New Motorcycle Dealers Association (FUNMDA) are not left out. The market association held its end of the year prayers on Friday, December 11, 2020.

The prayer kicked off around 9 AM with an opening prayer by Ichie Kenneth Maduakor. Pastor Godwin Obinani held a brief sermon with a prayer session where they thanked the Lord for bringing them thus far. Followed by a long session of praise and worship where traders danced and praised God for a good year, despite numerous challenges and threats to business nationwide.

There were thanksgiving offerings by the people.

The association used this occasion to award its prominent and dedicated members for their efforts in keeping the union together and going. The chairman started with the outstanding woman in the market Lady Nneka Nwosu, for her effort in making sure that she passed information across, another notable awardee is Ms. Onyinye Onyeanwusi aka China, the only female importer in the entire market.

Other notable awardees include Chikwado Ejimbe, Chief Louis Ukatu aka Igwe, Hon. Emma Esione, Pastor Godwin Obinani, Sir Ben Nwosu, Ichie Kenneth Maduakor, Sir Silas Ejikeme former chairman, importers union, Paul Ezeabasi, Emeka Amadi, Mr. Innocent, Okwudili Udo, Chinedu Emodi, Chief Nnamdi Okoli amongst others.

The association presented gift items to the less privileged amongst them in the spirit of the forthcoming Christmas.

Speaking to Anaedoonline.ng, the chairman of the market, Hon. Chieloka Ubajekwe said that this prayer was his last prayer in office as his tenure should have ended in April and the award was a way of appreciating the help from people during his administration.

The chairman also spoke about their successful recovery of more than 90 stolen motorcycles, and eradication of the business of stolen motorcycles thereby, clearing the notion of being a dumping ground for criminals.

Speaking further of his achievements in office, he narrated how his administration stopped the forgery of receipts and restored law and order to the market
