Oghenebrume Ikekhua scored a brace in the opening 20 minutes before Angela Michael scored an own goal four minutes later to make it 3-0.

League top scorer with four goals, Dominance Odubanjo, reduced the deficit for Delta Queens in the 28th minute and scored her second of the game nine minutes later to make the score 3-2 as the visitors strived for a comeback.

But an own goal from Edafe Mamuzo and strikes from Deborah Abiodun and Cecilia Nku handed Rivers Angels a resounding win.

Oche, who watched his side demolish DreamStar Ladies 4-1 on match-day 1, said his girls suffered from low confidence.

“It was a very poor game; my players started the game jittery, they were not confident and they lacked purpose. That was what caused the first three goals under 23 minutes. Some of them are playing at this stage for the first time, we just recruited them and the team is just about three weeks, so we have to manage them,” Oche said.

“We talked to them in the second half and they tried their best. For the next game, I’ll work on the defence and the attack. We’ll try to build their confidence.
