The Traditional Ruler of Nnewi, His Royal Highness, Igwe Kenneth Onyeneke Nnajiofor Orizu (III) is set to honour Engr. Chris Emeka Azubogu over his development effort in Nnewi and beyond.

Anaedoonline.ng gathered that the Chieftaincy Title is to appreciate the outstanding lawmaker for all his effort towards the development of the Nnewi and beyond.

The conferment of the Chieftaincy Title on Engr. Azubuogu is part of the activities lined up to mark the 57th Ofala and 95th of His Royal Highness, Igwe Kenneth Orizu, billed to hold on 28th and 29th December, 2020.

Hon. Azubogu who has been so passionate about the development of Nnewi and beyond has facilitated so many key projects into Anambra State like; Federal Housing Estate abandoned since 1989, Nnewi Industrial Park located at Akwaihedi-Unubi-Uga, over fifty (50) roads across the state, over 100 electricity transformers, Uru Erosion, attracted IPP Mini-grid which its license is with NERC, Completion of Nnewi Correction Centre, Skill Development Training and Empowerment, facilitating over 700 Million naira worth projects at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital (NAUTH) Permanent Site and also access road with a bridge to the site.

The University of Nigeria, Nsukka trained Engineer, Chris Azubogu who is also aspiring to be elected as the Governor of Anambra State in 2021 Governorship election under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), also facilitated the building of Sports Complex with 10,000 capacity.
