Ex-Big Brother Naija contestant, Khafi Kareem, has kicked off her music career as she just released her debut single, ‘Commander In Chief.’

Taking to Instagram, the reality TV star revealed that the track was recorded in October and it is centered around the aftermath of #EndSARS protest that went rife that month.

Sharing a snippet of her song, she wrote;

“I can’t believe I’m saying this but I’ve just released my first ever song… Sunday saw us mark two months since the #lekkigenocideand other atrocities in Africa are still ongoing, as well as my own families quest to get justice for the murder of my brother Alexander Kareem. When I heard the song Commander in Chief I just knew I had to do a cover. Myself and @gabrielle.worship recorded this on her computer in her bedroom back in October but I’ve only just had the courage to share it with you all.

“It was my first time recording my vocals and may not be perfect, but the message is clear. Our leaders should protect us and these things shouldn’t be permitted to happen. I hope the song blesses you, and that you understand it. As well as English I sing in Hausa and Yoruba in the track. For those who can, translate what I say in either language in the comments below and I will pick someone at random to receive a credit alert from me. Also everyone who uses the song in their stories and tags me will be reposted. Let’s send a clear message to our leaders that we will not forget.”
