For Chief Willie Obiano, the Executive Governor of Anambra, since the inception of his administration, is committed to actualizing a sustainable secured state and has continued to offer ndi-Anambra a ‘continuous crime-free yuletide season.’
He has prioritized the security of lives, property and businesses in the state, and this has continued placing Anambra as the most security-friendly and Investment destination in Nigeria. The security benefits hence drive Ndi-Anambra including; high profile personalities and visitors to the state “on-and-off” yuletide season to pay a visit to their families, celebrate functions, attend to village ceremonies and to carry on other activities.
In the past, Ndi-Anambra feared coming home during yuletides, due to the accretion of social crimes; kidnapping, robbery etc. And even banks/financial institutions and markets feared being attacked, Governor Obiano has maintained his adequate/regular empowerment of security apparatus and has shown tremendous support to the various security agencies in the state.
In seeing that ndi-Anambra, the peace-loving and commercial people have continued to live in peace and moving about their daily businesses, this administration has proffered a perfect solution to issues of security and this was evident again in the just concluded yuletide season (Christmas and New Year) where peace and order were maintained. Ensuring that security apparatus of the state wasn’t asleep to consolidate on existing free crime state, this government has continued to motivate men and women of law enforcement agencies, their morals which were demoralized during the #EndSARS protest that resulted in a partial break down of law and order, which was restored back to normalcy by Governor Obiano, this he did by donation of security operational vehicles, cash gifts to the families of police officers who were killed or maimed during the violent attacks, reconstruction of burnt police stations and regular Helicopter surveillance for yuletide season in Anambra.

In emulating Governor’s giant strides in security, communities and their leaders have equally played an active role in ensuring that the State government’s efforts in ensuring free crime state are maintained.
It’s proven that Governor Obiano is committed to exceptional security in the state. For maintaining peace and order in the just concluded yuletide season, he has once again demonstrated that governance is “practicality not theory.”
