After six (6) days in which his suspension was lifted by Anambra State Government, the Traditional Ruler of Igbaraim, His Royal Majesty, Igwe Dr. Nkeli Nzekwe Kelly (Okalakwu of Igbaraim) has died.
Anaedoonline.ng reliably gathered that the Monarch died late yesterday at Nnamdi Azikiwe Teaching Hospital, Nnewi, after suffering from complicated diseases traceable to high blood pressure and partial stroke.
It will be recalled that Igwe Nkeli Nzekwe who is one of the prominent traditional rulers in Anambra North was part of the Traditional rulers whose suspension was recently lifted by the Governor of Anambra State, His Excellency, Chief Dr. Willie Obiano. He was part of the twelve (12) Traditional rulers who were suspended following their illegal visit to Abuja.

It will also be recalled that the monarch could not celebrate his Ofala festival last month, for the first time since he ascended the throne. Vehicles of those who attempted to pay him homage were allegedly attacked and destroyed.
