The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been hit with defection again as 2,000 members in Aba North local government of Abia state on Thursday, January 7, joined the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The new defectors, according to a reports, were received in Igbere by the Chief Whip of the Senate, Orji Kalu on behalf of the State Chairman of the party, Chief Donatus Nwankpa and Chairman of Caretaker Committee of the APC, Governor Mai Buni.
Kalu, while welcoming the new party members urged the defectors to work for the ruling party’s victory in the 2023 general elections.
hief Mascot Kalu, the 2019 APC House of Representatives candidate for Aba North and South hailed the defectors for their decision.
Meanwhile, Bunch Adiele and Eze Agege, on behalf of the defectors said: “We are your sons and daughters residing and doing business in Aba North Local Government Area.“
