The Federal Government says it would review the January 18 date fixed for resumption of schools across the country.

Minister of Education Adamu Adamu disclosed this on Monday while answering questions during a press briefing by the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 in Abuja.

ASUU: Nigerian Universities May Not Resume January 18

There have been concerns over the planned resumption of academic activities. The Academic Staff Union of Universities also recently called on the government to reconsider its decision over the safety of students and lecturers.

“On the January 18 resumption date, we are reviewing it. We are going to review it,” the minister said.

“At the PTF meeting today, we considered it, and tomorrow, the ministry is going to take it up.
