Lagos State Safety Commission and the Lagos State task force have sealed the Eko Club event centre in Surulere for flouting COVID-19 protocols.
The event centre was closed for hosting a funeral event recently where attendants flouted COVID-19 protocols.
Gawat Jubril social media aide to Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu announced the closure of the event centre on Twitter.

“Lagos State Safety Commission and the Lagos State Task Force in a joint enforcement exercise, SEALED the Eko Club event centre in Surulere for complete disregard of Covid19 protocols at a funeral event which was held recently at the event centre,” he tweeted on Wednesday.

The state has intensified its clampdown on event centres and nightclubs who disregard COVID-19 protocols.
