US Makes Negative COVID-19 Test Result Mandatory For Travellers

Just like the United Kingdom (UK), the United States Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has made it mandatory for all incoming air passengers into the United States to show proof of a negative COVID-19 test or documentation of having recovered from the virus.

This order effective from January 26, 2021, affects all arriving from a foreign country to the United States including US citizens and non-US citizens.

Problems Affecting National ID Card Registration

The directive was contained in a release by Information Assistant, Audio-Visual, US Consulate General, Public Affairs Section, Ayo Durodola.

The statement read, “The United States Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issued an order on January 12, 2021, requiring proof of a negative COVID-19 test or documentation of having recovered from COVID-19 for all air passengers arriving from a foreign country to the United States including US citizens and non-US citizens.
