Rev Stephen Okeke Donates Rice And Noodles To Officers Of CHAPOL Anambra State Command

Anambra CHAPOL officers held their first official meeting of the year amidst joy and gratitude as they received goodies from their grand patron Rev Stephen and Pastor Gloria Okeke, Lead Pastor, Topeka Revival Assembly, Kansas, USA.

The meeting was held yesterday at Save The Lost Church along Nnobi Road, Nnewi-Anambra where they declared the year officially open on January 28, 2021. The Paramilitary non-governmental organization, Anambra State command of the Chaplain Corps Policing Explorers CHAPOL, is in partnership with the Anambra State Ministry of Education for the sole aim of combating and eradicating moral decadence and other social vices in the state’s secondary schools.

President Commandant Joseph Ekwunife, while addressing the members admonished them to be courageous and brave in face of situations, asked them to step up and refuse to be intimidated.

Speaking to Anaedoonline.ng in an exclusive interview, the President revealed that they have been on this assignment for the past 8 years, starting July 27, 2013, precisely. Their mission has been on the path of restoring moral values in our secondary schools eradicating cultism, malpractice, loitering, and any other found amongst students. The organization goes from school to school teaching them the dangers involved in these vices, they advise, counsel, and mentor them.

Speaking further, he disclosed that the organization rarely employ force except for severe cases. The president commended the commissioner of Education Prof. Kate Omenugha for her support in aiding them to abate these vices. He revealed that CHAPOL was instrumental to the success that was recorded in 2013 when Anambra state came first in WAEC and NECO.

As with every organization, they have their fair share of challenges steaming mostly from lack of funds and mobility. 

The highlight of the meeting was the sharing of rice and noodles which was donated by their grand patron to the officers encouraging them to keep up the excellent work, the officers were grateful to the Reverend.   

Sadly, the organization lost three of its gallant officers last year to death, however, the widows of the officers were present as the organization handed them a little token in a show of their support. 

On a lighter note, the organization welcomed 28 new members who were commissioned last year. One of them spoke to Anaedoonline on how proud she is to be part of this organization.
