The Member representing Ihiala Federal Constituency, Anambra State at the House of Representatives, Hon. Ifeanyi Chudy Momah is set to officially present educational pieces of furniture, materials and ICT equipment to primary schools within the constituency on Saturday, 30th January 2021.

 

While the Imo State government directed workers to resume work, or risk not been paid, Labour which is now factionalized, had directed workers to stay at home over unpaid salaries. The Austin Chilakpu led Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) was ‘removed’ by Governor Hope Uzodimma and in its place, a fresh leadership was appointed and recognised by the Governor.

Amidst security challenges in the state, the uncontrolled or rather indiscriminate issuance and wrong usage of Imo House of Assembly official vehicle number plates has become a bone of contention between the Imo House of Assembly and Security agents in the state; following the recent kidnap incident where the occupant of a Mercedes 350 4matic jeep with number plate IMHA48, security agents and Imo State House of Assembly are trading words.

 

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ebonyi has confirmed that three persons died and six others were injured in an accident in the state on Thursday. Mrs Stella Uchegbu, the FRSC Sector Commander in the state, confirmed this to newsmen on Friday. Uchegbu said that the accident occurred on Abaomege-Afikpo Road in Onicha Local Government Area of the state.

 

President Muhammadu Buhari has written a letter to the National Assembly, seeking confirmation of the service chiefs. Senior special assistant to the president on National Assembly (Senate) Babajide Omoworare said in a statement on Friday that the letter was dated January 27, a day after nominating the service chiefs.
