Aniekan Ekpe’s brace handed Wolves their fifth defeat of the season Uyo. Anaedoonline.ng also learnt that Wolves, who are 17th on the NPFL log, owe their players four months salaries.

Wisdom Jumbo, one of the club’s senior players, who confirmed the boycott, said they opted to play the game against Dakkada out of respect for the club.

“They owe us four months and they have promised to pay us this week, but we are still waiting,” Jumbo told newsmen.

“We decided to honour the game against Dakkada on Sunday because we were promised that we were going to be paid this week.”

When newsmen contacted Moses Etu, the General Manager of Warri Wolves, on the matter, he did not respond to calls and text message sent to his phone.
