The Federal Government has placed a travel Ban on 100 passengers for flouting COVID-19 directives. This was announced by the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 via its Twitter handle on Tuesday. The PTF also released the passport details of the defaulters, stating that they have been restricted from travelling for six months.

 

Some committees of the House of Representatives on security have set their agenda for the new service chiefs, stating that the growing security crises in Nigeria must be addressed as soon as possible. Leaders of the committees, in separate interviews with newsmen, stated that when the National Assembly confirms the appointments, the new service chiefs must deploy new initiatives to address the issues inherited from their predecessors.

Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has stated that winning the November governorship election in Anambra is critical to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). He stated this while addressing PDP leaders in the southeast during a meeting held in Enugu on Monday to reconcile Anambra stakeholders ahead of the November election.

 

Former Kogi lawmaker, Senator Dino Melaye has reacted to the meeting between the Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State and the former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode. Reports has it that the former minister paid a courtesy visit to the governor at the Government House, Lokoja, on Sunday, February 7, 2021.

 

Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has said that his meeting with some leaders of the All Progressives Congress was to discuss the “state of the nation, national issues, party politics and the way forward.” Fani-Kayode had yesterday met with the National Chairman of the APC, Governor Mai Buni of Yobe State and Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State.
