The Kogi state governor had earlier claimed that Fani-Kayode, former aviation minister and his new political friend, had dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the APC.

The PDP chieftain, however, denied joining the APC, saying he remains a member of the leading opposition party.
