The Imo State Executive Council Meeting of Wednesday 31st March 2021 presided over by the Governor His Excellency Senator Hope Uzodimma has set up a Committee for the full implementation of the State Whitepaper on Land Use and other Related Matters.
The Committee to be Chaired by the Hon. Commissioner for Lands and Physical Planning has the Commissioner for Housing as Secretary, while the Commissioner for Works, the General Manager ENTRACO, the General Manager OCDA and others approved by EXCO as members.
The Committee is charged with the responsibility of full and total implementation of all aspects of the Whitepaper on Lands and other Related Matters expeditiously.
Briefing the Government House Press at the end of the EXCO meeting the Imo State Commissioner for Information and Strategy Hon. Declan Emelumba informed that His Excellency the Governor announced further minor Cabinet reshuffle of members of Executive Council.
In the new adjustment the present Commissioner for Entrepreneurship and Skills Acquisition Hon Noble Atulegwu moves over to Ministry of Lands and Physical Planning. The Commissioner for Lands and Physical Planning Barr. Enyinnaya Onuegbu superintends the Ministry of Power, while the Hon. Commissioner for Power Chief Iyke Umeh moves to Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Skills Acquisition.
Throwing more light on the essence of the reshuffle, the Hon. Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General of the State Barr. C. O. C. Akaolisa said that the Governor deems it necessary to carry out the exercise as a way of ensuring the programmes and policies of the administration moves on smoothly and that no Commissioner is removed rather it is an attempt to put the right pegs in the right holes.
In the same vain it was observed that Exco have approved a provisional Uniform for the Imo State Traffic Management Agency as such was adorned by the Hon. Commissioner for Transport Barr. Rex Anunobi.
It will be recalled that on Wednesday 24th March 2021 His Excellency Senator Hope Uzodimma while swearing in four new Commissioners carried out the first minor reshuffle of his cabinet which moved some Commissioners such as that of Finance to Petroleum, Commissioner for Health to Mines and Solid Minerals and others.

It is also important to remind us that the implementation of the whitepaper on Lands and other Related Matters have since commenced which saw the State recovering the former Eastern Palm University Ogboko Ideato South LGA now Kingsley Ozurumba Mbadiwe University and Royal Spring Hotel and Apartments at Akachi road in Owerri.
