The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has urged agitators for secession to pray and await God’s divine intervention for the country instead of demanding the separation of the country along ethnic lines.
The Chairman of Katsina State branch of CAN, Reverend Nelson Onyekachuk, made the appeal after officiating the mass at St. There’s Catholic Church in Katsina.
The cleric told reporters on the sidelines of the religious event that what the state and the country need are prayers and not “unnecessary agitations and promotion of ethnic agendas”.
