The Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, on Monday, invited the Academic Staff Union of Universities to an emergency meeting following their threat to embark on another strike.
The meeting will be held at the Ministry’s Headquarters in Abuja on Tuesday at 11:00 am. The development was disclosed in a statement released by the Director of Press and Public Relations, Ben. Bem Goong.

The Minister why explaining the reason for the emergency meeting said the meeting is intended to halt the planned strike.
It will be recalled that ASUU has issued a notice of strike following the refusal of the Government to implement some of the agreements entered into between the union and the Federal Government.
