Well-known, proscribed Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) has alleged threats by the Miyetti Allah to deploy 5,000 jihadists in the Southeast, to protect their cows and herders, following the floating of Ebubeagu security outfit by the Southeast governors. An explanation of the threat as an insult to the people of the zone, insisting that it would not tolerate such utterances despite its grievances against the Southeast governors and the political elite.

By Authority, The World Igbo Congress (WIC) has shown rejection of the South-East security outfit codenamed Ebubeagu which was recently set up by governors of the region. The Chairman, Board of Directors, Prof. Anthony Ejiofor, and the executive members of WIC disclosed the rejection of the security outfit.

Information reaching Anaedoonline.ng reveals that some unknown gunmen have razed Zone 13 Police Headquarters in Ukpo, Dunukofia Local Government of Anambra state. This happened in the wee hours of Monday 19th April 2021. Up to four vehicles  been burned by the attackers, the police station building put on fire and suspects set free. While fire fighters have been called to the scene, it is unlikely that they are unable to do much to save the sitiation.

The monarchs of Abboh, Ahiazu, and Ezinihitte the three local governments in Mbaise have appealed to Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma to repair Okpala-Ahiara-Abba Branch Road and other local roads. The traditional rulers, operating under the patronage of the Mbaise Council of Traditional Rulers, urged the Federal Government to engage more youths in the police force and other paramilitary agencies to tackle insecurity.

Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the Minister of Information and Culture, on Sunday said that the Federal Government was working hard to improve national security and prevent all secession tendencies. Mohammed, who spoke on Sunday in Lagos when he appeared on Bond FM radio programme, “Ibi Abasede”, urged Nigerians not to listen to promoters of secession.
