A High Court in Accra, Ghana on Wednesday granted Ghanaian actress Akuapem Poloo ¢80,000 bail following her conviction for offensive social media post.
As part of her bail condition, the actress has to report to the case investigator every two weeks.
This is coming days after she was convicted and sentenced to 90 days imprisonment, having uploaded obscene pictures on social media in which her seven-year-old son was looking directly at her bare body.

The judgement had sparked protests across Ghana and other countries including Nigeria. While many people thought the judgement was too harsh for the offence, others saw it as well deserved.
The presiding judge had decided that the judgement was necessary to deter others in Ghana from commiting similar offences.
According to senior state attorney Selasie Kuwornu, the state had no control over the length of the appeal, and therefore could not oppose the application for bail.
Akuapem Poloo, born Rosemund Alade Brown, has been disallowed from traveling unless by express permission of the court.

The Actress Akuapem Poloo whose real names is Rosemond Alade Brown, who took a nude photo with her son on his birthday, has been arrested by the Police in Ghana.
According to the reports coming in, Akuapem Poloo is being sent to the headquarters of the Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit of the Police in Accra.
In another post, Following harsh reactions from social media users, Ghanaian actress, Akuapem Poloo has apologized for the controversial photo of her going naked in front of her son.
But, she also explained her reason and tried to justify it by sharing photos of others who have done same.

Recall that Poloo celebrated her son’s 7th birthday, and organized a photoshoot where she was stark naked in front of her son. She explained that she gave birth to him naked, and as such stands naked before him.
The photo earned her criticisms but she didn’t take it down from her Instagram page.
