Experience as a web developer
Narrating how his journey to the world of web development commenced he said ‘I started out as a Web developer like you rightly pointed out in a team of three (3) (myself included) but switched lanes along the line given the growing demand for other platforms especially mobile.
I started developing for Mobile phones while my colleagues focused on other parts of development which include Web and Backend services but not limited to that. You know how it is in Nigeria, if you have to succeed you have to be both intentional and versatile.
”I have been developing for mobile platforms for a while now using languages like Java, Kotlin and react Native which is a cross-platform stack for both android and IOS
It’s not been easy I must say but progress is being made by the day. I did web fully for about 3yrs before switching to mobile and I’ve been working on mobile for close to 3yrs too
Well, like every other venture or skill, there are a lot of factors that determine what you make and would make in the near future eg clientele, skillset, etc. In my case, it’s not been bad on that front. Though it’s a build-up process, it does not get lucrative from the onset
