Chidinma Ekile Deletes Old Songs, Quits Secular Music For Gospel

Popular Nigerian singer, Chidinma Ekile, has quit secular music to become a gospel music minister of God. Chidinma revealed this on her Instagram page even as she shared a video of her singing a gospel song in a church.

She also deleted all previous pictures and videos of her songs on her Instagram page.

The 30-year-old singer alongside the video wrote: “My name is Minister Chidinma Ekile. I am a crusader of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

“Your future needs you, your past doesn’t. The devil knows your name but he calls you by your sins. God knows your sins but he calls you by your name.

“The message is Jesus. I will reign in life because the creator of the ends of the earth loves me.”

Anaedoonline.ng reports that Nigerian music entertainer, born Chinedu Okoli, popularly known as Flavour, has debunked rumours making the rounds that he is having a sexual affair with female colleague, Chidinma Ekile, better known as Ms Kedike.

The duo had been rumoured to be dating after they were seen in public places kissing on several occasions and in one of his hit songs, Ololufe, where he featured the star singer.

Debunking the rumours, the ‘N’abania’ crooner explained that the chemistry between them was only about music.

Flavor, in an interview with Soundcity, said their music is more authentic when they sing together and people tend to connect more.

He said, “Chidinma is just my friend. Our strong vibe comes from how deeply we feel about music, sometimes, when you want to do a music video, you want to make it look real.

“We are not the first people. You see the likes of Drake, Nicki Minaj giving lap-dance on stage.

“Are you feeling it? It’s not about the kissing. People felt the song; they were swept away by our delivery, it was so original, that’s why people were all thinking that there was something going on between us.”

When asked about the kiss he gave her at their live performance in Onitsha, Anambra state, the single father of two said, “We wanted to be free!

“For real, there is nothing going on. We are just very good friends and I respect her for that,” he quipped.
