The Governor of Ebonyi State and Chairman of South-East Governors Forum, Dave Umahi, on Monday, disclosed that evil men are currently in the state to kill residents of the state. mahi disclosed in Abakaliki during a prayer session organised by the government to seek God’s intervention on insecurity in the state.

The Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma has vowed never to negotiate or dialogue with criminals disturbing the peace of the state. Speaking on Sunday at Government House Chapel, Owerri, the state capital, the governor said criminals “out to bring the state down must be prepared to be brought down as well.”

Abia State Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, has said he has improved the city of Aba from the poor state of infrastructure he met on ground when he assumed office in 2015. He disclosed that most of the roads were abandoned for over 20 years as trees started growing in them while others were regularly flooded all through the year.

Chris Ngige, the Minister of Labour and Employment has threatened legal actions against state governors not paying the new minimum wage. Ngige said negotiations were ongoing between him and the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, over instituting legal actions against governors who have faulted in paying the new minimum wage.
