As part of plans to reach out to all stakeholders in All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), in Anambra State, Hon. Nonso Smart Okafor has visited APGA faithfuls in Ekwusigo Local Government Area.
Nonso Okafor who was at Ekwusigo L.G.A today, Thursday, 6th May, 2021, to meet with APGA leaders, said that he was in the local government to interact with and consult the party members regarding his gubernatorial ambition.
Addressing the party officers, the Governorship hopeful said that his decision to run for the election is largely on his conviction that with his experience, vigor, and vision, he is better placed to build a viable, independent, secured and advanced economy for the state while consolidating on the achievements of Governor Obiano administration.

He noted that his plan which is tagged VISA ECONOMY, built on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) addresses human and societal development, which will position the state economically, socially, and politically.
Hon. Nonso Smart Okafor who is representing Nnewi North Constituency in Anambra State House of Assembly (ASHA) said that his membership of several House committees has taken him around different communities in the state, revealing that he understands and knows the real issues, problems, and solutions.
Speaking further, he emphasized that he will leverage on the experience of his humble background which is very remarkable, his experience as a lawmaker, and international exposure to transform the state.
Appealing to the stakeholders to support his Governorship ambition, the lawmaker called for a free and fair primary election that will determine the party’s flag bearer, noting that anything short of transparency will surely have a negative impact on the party.
According to him, beyond his competence, he has the required capacity to win the election, noting that his aspiration will rekindle the hope and the yearnings of the electorates for a new breed of leaders.
Reacting, the Chairman of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) in Ekwusigo Local Government Area, Hon. Ikechukwu Obidiugwu and other stakeholders expressed support for Hon. Nonso Okafor, saying that the candidacy of the lawmaker will guarantee victory for the party judging from the experience and capacity he wields.

The interactive section had the presence of all the party executives in the twelve (12) wards and the LGA executives of Ekwusigo Local Government Area.
