Buhari Reacts To Release Of Afaka Students, Promises Action On Insecurity

President Muhammadu Buhari has said that his administration is doing all its best to curb the security challenges facing the country.

Buhari, in a statement on Wednesday signed by his spokesman, Garba Shehu, made this known while reacting to the release of the remaining students abducted from the Federal College of Forestry Mechanisation in Afaka.

The President commended all those who participated in securing the release of the remaining students abducted on March 12.

The statement noted that the Buhari administration is determined to ensure that all Nigerians are safe without being scared of kidnappers and bandits.

The president congratulated their friends, families and the government, and the people of Kaduna State.

He also appealed for the release of the abducted students of Greenfield University in Kaduna, as well as other citizens currently in captivity.

Buhari hailed defence and security agencies, officials of the Ministry of Environment and the government of Kaduna State.

“We are happy they have been released. We express our deep appreciation to all the actors who contributed one way or the other to this happy outcome, in particular, the defence and security agencies, the officials of the Ministry of Environment and the government of Kaduna State. We thank Nigerians for their prayers,” Buhari said.
